Location: OTRec Center / H. E. Sargent Community Center, 342 Bennoch Road, Old Town. AEP Hours are available Monday – Friday from 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM  These FUN, encouraging and interactive programs are designed for children (Kindergarten through 8th grade) to provide safety, enrichment and healthy exercise to keep your child active!AEP participants are transported by bus from Old Town Elementary and Leonard Middle School directly to our front door. Van transportation is available for Bradley, Milford, and Orono Schools. We begin our daily program with a quick “check in” about their day at school and provide a healthy snack for our campers to fuel up – then let the games begin! WE KEEP OUR KIDS BUSY WHILE THEY ARE HERE! 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    Youth Fencing - Level 1 and 2 - Late Spring 2019
Foil Fencing for Youth (Level 1)Youth are introduced to the martial art and sport of foil fencing. Swordplay has been a martial art for centuries and is today the modern sport of fencing. Fencing is fun, mentally challenging and great exercise for kids. This six week, introductory class in foil fencing will teach kids the basic skills of fencing: safety, basic footwork, blade work, and essential rules of play for bouting. All fencing equipment will be provided for the course. What youth should wear: wear pants covering legs (jeans, wind pants, sweats are fine. lycra, tights or yoga pants are too thin), wear athletic shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). A water bottle is recommended.Fencing for Youth (Level 2)This six week Level 2 class is designed to improve kids skills and reinforce basic skills of foil, epee or saber fencing including: low-line and circular parries, phrasing, preparations on the blade, next level footwork, and bouting strategies. Foil Fencing for Youth (Level 1)Youth are introduced to the martial art and sport of foil fencing. Swordplay has been a martial art for centuries and is today the modern sport of fencing. Fencing is fun, mentally challenging and great exercise for kids. This six week, introductory class in foil fencing will teach kids the basic skills of fencing: safety, basic footwork, blade work, and essential rules of play for bouting. All fencing equipment will be provided for the course. What youth should wear: wear pants covering legs (jeans, wind pants, sweats are fine. lycra, tights or yoga pants are too thin), wear athletic shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). A water bottle is recommended.Fencing for Youth (Level 2)This six week Level 2 class is designed to improve kids skills and reinforce basic skills of foil, epee or saber fencing including: low-line and circular parries, phrasing, preparations on the blade, next level footwork, and bouting strategies. Join us on for T-Ball! Kids will learn the basic fundamentals of the baseball/softball in a fun enjoyable atmosphere. NEW THIS YEAR: We will have two age groups (Ages 3 & 4) / (Ages 5 & 6) to give your child the opportunity to learn the fundamentals in a safe and fun atmosphere! Parents are encouraged to join in with your little one. This exciting program will meet Sundays beginning May 5th from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM for Ages 3-4 and 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM for Ages 5-6.UPDATED ON MAY 21st, 2019:No T-Ball May 26th due to Memorial DayWeek 3 (Sunday June 2nd)Players will be in full swing mode as we work on hitting and base running. Foil Fencing for Youth (Level 1)Youth are introduced to the martial art and sport of foil fencing. Swordplay has been a martial art for centuries and is today the modern sport of fencing. Fencing is fun, mentally challenging and great exercise for kids. This six week, introductory class in foil fencing will teach kids the basic skills of fencing: safety, basic footwork, blade work, and essential rules of play for bouting. All fencing equipment will be provided for the course. What youth should wear: wear pants covering legs (jeans, wind pants, sweats are fine. lycra, tights or yoga pants are too thin), wear athletic shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). A water bottle is recommended.Fencing for Youth (Level 2)This six week Level 2 class is designed to improve kids skills and reinforce basic skills of foil, epee or saber fencing including: low-line and circular parries, phrasing, preparations on the blade, next level footwork, and bouting strategies. Kids will learn the basic fundamentals of the baseball/softball in a fun enjoyable atmosphere. NEW THIS YEAR: We will have two age groups (Ages 3 & 4) / (Ages 5 & 6) to give your child the opportunity to learn the fundamentals in a safe and fun atmosphere! Parents are encouraged to join in with your little one. This exciting program will meet Sundays beginning May 5th from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM for Ages 3-4 and 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM for Ages 5-6.UPDATED ON MAY 21st, 2019:No T-Ball May 26th due to Memorial DayWeek 3 (Sunday June 2nd)Players will be in full swing mode as we work on hitting and base running. 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    Youth Fencing - Level 1 and 2 - Late Spring 2019
Foil Fencing for Youth (Level 1)Youth are introduced to the martial art and sport of foil fencing. Swordplay has been a martial art for centuries and is today the modern sport of fencing. Fencing is fun, mentally challenging and great exercise for kids. This six week, introductory class in foil fencing will teach kids the basic skills of fencing: safety, basic footwork, blade work, and essential rules of play for bouting. All fencing equipment will be provided for the course. What youth should wear: wear pants covering legs (jeans, wind pants, sweats are fine. lycra, tights or yoga pants are too thin), wear athletic shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). A water bottle is recommended.Fencing for Youth (Level 2)This six week Level 2 class is designed to improve kids skills and reinforce basic skills of foil, epee or saber fencing including: low-line and circular parries, phrasing, preparations on the blade, next level footwork, and bouting strategies.
